The walls and walks are great, but they need plants to soften their look. Joan
has been busy selecting plants and putting them in the ground. We decided to
avoid the usual landscapers error of over planting so things will look a bit
sparse for a while, but in a year we expect it to fill in nicely.
We planted mostly smaller plants so we could watch them fill in too. Planted
so far is a Jacaranda tree, 3 fruitless olive trees, some leucadendrons and
proteas and several varieties of lavender.
Mulching all of these plants is next on the horizon, then filling in the
blanks spots (mostly on the back-40). Stay tuned.
