You may recall that the second floor will not completely cover the first floor (see the
plans if you want a refresher).
Of course all of the house must be enclosed so the lower roof will look sort of like a skirt around the lower portion of
the second floor. The framers have been working around the raindrops this week to try to get the house closed up by the end of the month.
